Gambell Children’s & Construction Outreach

Where: Gambell, AK
Who: (8 member max) This trip is for anyone willing to serve and ready to get out of their comfort zone.
What: Construction of every type, Children's Ministry, Bible Storying, Mechanics, Village Outreach.
Costs: Up To $1200 plus airfare to Nome*. Cost depends on team size and baggage
The cost includes the following:
- Round-trip air from Nome to Gamble; Baggage Cost
- Housing
- Bedding
- Food
- Ground transportation
- Assistance with materials and tools
- Administration fee
Whom are you working with:
In Gambell we partner with the local Presbyterian Church. They are an active church who has asked us to help them reach those in the community through acts of service and sharing in life. We do this by helping people in the community with needed repairs and teach others in the community those skills. We also engage the children and youth in having a fun, safe, encouraging environment for them to play and to teach God's Word through Bible Storying. We also work with a Native Missionary and will help with outreach to Village Elders, women, and youth.
Our Vision
Skilled Missions: Alaska seeks to enable volunteers to partner with Gambell in ongoing ministry. We desire volunteers to not only come and serve for a week but to look at how to build lasting relationships that can be used to help disciple, encourage, and share life with those they meet. We desire to help build homes but ultimately we desire to build relationships.
